about the Curriculum

With a balance of providing the tools and connections to grow as a community leader, along with helping you become more self aware of your leadership skills, the Leadership curriculum takes a hybrid approach towards community leadership development.

Sessions include personal development workshops like strengths coaching, servant leadership, effective communication and more. Participants also engage in workshops to become better connected with the nonprofit community, experience firsthand how our city functions with tours and meet-and-greets with City officials and engage in deep conversations related to identifying community needs.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022

Alumni testimonial

"My Leadership Westerville class included many emerging leaders who, like me, wanted to learn more about our city, and how best to serve it...At the conclusion of our program, our class was challenged to not let this Leadership Westerville experience be the last thing that we do for Westerville.  I took that challenge to heart, and subsequently participated in all three Citizen's Academies (Police, Fire and Citizen), joined several local Boards, Commissions and Organizations, and was elected to Westerville City Council (2019).  Leadership Westerville sparked my community involvement; and I recommend this program highly for those who want to serve our City and its residents."
