What is leadership westerville?
Founded in 2001, Leadership Westerville is a small 501c3 nonprofit that fosters community engagement by developing a diverse, service-minded leaders through a nine-month program.
Leadership Westerville offers community leadership training, networking, and service initiatives to improve Westerville through civic engagement and collaboration, partnering with local government, schools, and businesses.
The Leadership Westerville program is supported in partnership by the Westerville Area Chamber, the City of Westerville, Westerville City Schools, Otterbein University, and the Westerville Public Library. It has been managed under the Westerville Area Chamber since 2017.
The program is designed develop a group of civic leaders who are able to identify and critically analyze key issues facing the community and who will be committed to cultivating the city's future through personal involvement and volunteerism.
Through alumni driven committees, Leadership Westerville hosts the annual community events and initatives, such as the Westerville Martin Luther King Day Jr. Breakfast Celebration and Service Day.
